ALX Fit Fair

Nina Miller founded ALX Fit Fair in June 2021, shortly after the Virginia pandemic protocols were lifted for gyms and fitness studios. In partnership with the nonprofit VETOGA, Nina formed a vision for ALX Fit Fair, to create a community impact that inspires affordable health & fitness.  Nina prides herself on living an active lifestyle and encourages her friends & family to try new forms of fitness and challenge themselves! Community involvement and philanthropy are important to Nina. During the 2019 shutdown she spent her weekend time volunteering to provide food to the Alexandria community with the ALIVE!, an  Alexandria based community outreach program.  Her vision for ALX Fit Fair is to cultivate community awareness for affordable health & fitness options in an annual Fit Fair, one in which the community can look forward to sampling workouts and healthy local eats every summer!

" We are excited to partner with ALX Fit Fair as we bring the wellness benefits of fitness to our veterans in our local Alexandria community. Our mission is to provide yoga and other healing arts to military and veterans. This festival is a perfect example of how we build community and create a healthy space for our veterans."

VETOGA’s mission is to provide yoga, meditation, and healing arts to military, veterans, their families, and communities. They accomplish this by holding free monthly yoga classes, events and veteran specific 200-Hour Teacher Trainings throughout the year.  VETOGA is a non-profit based in Washington, D.C.

Volunteer Alexandria will be working with ALX Fit Fair to ensure it is safely staffed and has appropriate Covid-19 sanitation measures in place.
